THE FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR THIS MORNING are presented to the glory of God by Tim and Kathy Weiden in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary on June 1st. They were married right here in the sanctuary by Reverend Bert Vermeulen.

Fremont UMC will be hosting a community outreach event at the Ark Park from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on the second Tuesday of the summer months. Join us for family fun—free books for children 0 to15 and free Jams froyo for all in attendance.
FREMONT UMC QUILT SHOW AND SALAD LUNCHEON
Saturday, July 13th
The quilt show is from 10am to 4pm and the salad luncheon is from 11am to 3pm in Wesley Hall.
Ticket costs: salad luncheon $10, quilt show $8, or $16 to buy both.

Salads and baked goods will be needed for the quilt show and salad luncheon. A sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board by sanctuary doors. See Jean Sherman, Nancy Robinson or Chris Powell if you have any questions.
JUNE CHURCH POTLUCKS
2nd Sunday Potluck: June 9 at 10:30 am in Wesley Hall. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Beverages are provided.
S’more Potluck: Sunday: June 16 at 5:00 pm at the fire bowl in the ARK Park. Bring your own meat to cook over the fire and a dish to pass.

Mondays at 10am in the Picnic Classroom next to the church office
A group of women are sewing quilts, placemats, tote bags and other items for the Quilt Show and Salad Luncheon that will take place on Saturday, July 13. This is not a mending or pleasure sewing group. Anyone wanting to help out with these projects are welcome to join us!
2024 ALTAR FLOWER CALENDAR
Would you like to place flowers on the Altar to celebrate a special event or person, or in memory of a loved one? There is a flower chart on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Please sign your name and phone number. You may take the flowers home after the Sunday service. Any questions? Contact Pam Semlow (231-250-7336)

Children’s Sunday School: Sundays around 9:30am after the Children’s Message (ages 5 to 5th grade)
DVD COPIES OF THE WORSHIP SERVICES are always available on the table in the foyer area outside of the office. Please feel free to pick one up for yourself or family and friends. If you ever need more copies of the services please contact Lori in the office and she can make them for you (231-924-0030 or [email protected]).
FINANCE UPDATE
What a remarkable recovery we made in May! After ending April with giving towards the general budget around 4% behind April in 2023, we find ourselves at the end of May 2% ahead of where we were at the end of May 2023! Thank you, church! We’re also at a slight surplus (income vs. expenses) at the end of May – which is good news since we’re past the heavier utility expenses we see in the winter months. As you continue to remember the needs of our church through your general giving we’re also beginning to see some very generous contributions towards our $15,000 goal this summer to meet the needs of our heating system upgrades. Thank you for this extraordinary giving as well!
